Blockchain Verification
Verify the Authenticity of Any BC Grading Certificate
Every grade we issue is permanently recorded on the Polygon blockchain. Enter your certificate number below to retrieve the full, tamper-proof grading report.
How It Works
From Card to Immutable Record
Card Authenticated
Every card is inspected, photographed in high resolution, and graded by certified experts using our rigorous 4-point sub-grade methodology.
Sealed in a Tamper-Proof Slab
Your card is ultrasonically sealed inside a custom BC Grading slab with a unique certificate number laser-etched into the label.
Fibre-Level Card Fingerprint
We capture extreme-magnification imagery of your card’s surface, mapping the unique fibre structure of the cardstock itself. Like a human fingerprint, no two cards are alike — this creates an unforgeable biometric identity for your card.
Minted to the Blockchain
The grade, sub-grades, card fingerprint hash, and SHA-256 hashes of all imagery are permanently recorded on the Polygon blockchain — creating an immutable, public record that can never be altered or forged.
Instantly Verifiable
Anyone, anywhere can enter a certificate number to retrieve the full grading report — verified directly against the blockchain. No middleman, no trust required.
Card-Level Authentication
Every Card Has a Unique Fingerprint
During grading, we capture extreme-magnification imagery of your card's surface at 200x zoom, mapping the unique fibre structure of the cardstock itself.
Like a human fingerprint, the fibre pattern of every card is completely unique — even two cards printed in the same sheet, seconds apart, have distinctly different structures at the microscopic level.
This fibre map is hashed and stored on-chain alongside the grade. If a card is ever questioned, we can re-scan it and compare the fibre pattern against the blockchain record to confirm it is the exact same physical card that was originally graded — not a reprint, not a swap, not a counterfeit.
Why Blockchain
Trust, Without Having to Trust
Traditional grading companies store records in private databases. If their servers go down, get hacked, or the company closes, your proof of authenticity vanishes. We chose a fundamentally different approach.

What Gets Stored On-Chain?
- ✓Certificate number and card identity
- ✓Final grade and all four sub-grades
- ✓Card fibre fingerprint hash (unique physical identity)
- ✓SHA-256 hash of every image captured
- ✓SHA-256 hash of the 360° video
- ✓SHA-256 hash of the full grading report
- ✓Timestamp of when the grade was finalised
What Does This Mean for You?
Can a grade be changed after the fact?
No. Once minted, the blockchain record is permanent and immutable. Not even BC Grading can alter it.
What if BC Grading’s servers go offline?
Your certificate lives on the public Polygon blockchain — it exists independently of our infrastructure, forever.
Can someone forge a certificate?
No. The SHA-256 hashes of all imagery are stored on-chain. Any tampering with the images would produce a different hash, instantly exposing the forgery.
What if someone swaps the card inside the slab?
Every card has a unique fibre fingerprint captured at 200x magnification and hashed on-chain. A re-scan of the card will instantly reveal whether it’s the same physical card that was originally graded — no swap can survive this check.
